ICOVI-2017 Highlights:

International Conference on Vaccines and Immunization is the best platform where you can deliberate the novel methods to prevent diseases and increasing immunity levels. This conference had especially aticulated with the different topics like bacterial vaccines, viral vaccines, travel and edible vaccines etc and cardiac immunopathy, nurological and respiratory immunopathology etc with different sessions. Immunology-2017 Organizing Committee also invites Young investigators at every career stage to submit abstracts reporting their latest scientific findings in oral and poster sessions. The conference will include invited speakers, oral presentations, poster session and the young scientist award.

Scope and Importance:

Vaccines and Immunology conference brings together the Global leaders in Immunology and relevant fields to present their research at this exclusive scientific program. The Immunology Conference hosting presentations from editors of prominent referred journals, renowned and active investigators and decision makers in the field of Immunology Vaccination is a key to eradicate the diseases. It is a subject for the professionals who looks beyond the clinical prospects.Vaccinology is a major field in eradication of diseases. Traditional approaches to vaccine design were to inactivate the human pathogen or a cognate animal homologue, Vaccinology is the science of vaccine development and how the immune system responds to vaccines, but additionally includes perpetual evaluation of immunization programs and vaccine safety and efficacy, as well as surveillance of the epidemiology of vaccine-preventable diseases. This chapter provides a brief overview of some of the main concepts of immunology and Vaccinology as they relate to immunization.

Scope of Vaccines and Immunization in Italy:

In Italy, the number of two-year-olds vaccinated against measles has dropped from more than 90% to below 80%. This is well short of the World Health Organization's recommended coverage of 95% or more. Measles is highly contagious and can lead to death. The government in Italy has ruled that children must be vaccinated against 12 common illnesses before they can enrol for state-run schools. Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni blamed a decrease in vaccinations in part on a "spread of anti-scientific theories".Italy has recorded nearly three times as many measles cases so far this year than for all of 2016.

The twelve conditions children must be immunised against are:

  • polio
  • iphtheria
  • tetanus
  • hepatitis B
  • haemophilus influenza B
  • meningitis B
  • meningitis C
  • measles
  • mumps
  • rubella
  • whooping cough
  • chickenpox

Scope of Vaccines and Immunization in World:

Vaccines are protecting more children than ever before. But, in 2015, nearly one in five infants - 19.4 million children - missed out on the basic vaccines they need to stay healthy. Low immunization levels compromise gains in all other areas of health for mothers and children. The poorest, most vulnerable children who need immunization the most continue to be the least likely to get it.Almost one third of deaths among children under 5 are preventable by vaccine. UNICEF and its partners are working to change these numbers and ensure that all children are successfully protected with vaccines. But, if immunization is not prioritized, the most marginalized children will not get vaccines, which could mean the difference between life and death.
